Houston Arts Alliance Appoints Carrie Ermler as New Director of Development

Houston, TX - The Houston Arts Alliance (HAA) proudly announces the appointment of Carrie Ermler as its new Director of Development. With a rich background in marketing, communications, and advancement within the arts sector, Carrie brings a wealth of experience and a passion for fostering cultural growth and community engagement. 

A Cornell University graduate, Carrie embarked on her professional journey in marketing and communications, honing her skills for over 10 years in cities like San Francisco and Chicago. In 2008, driven by her love for the arts, she transitioned her career to advancement, serving pivotal roles at institutions including Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts and the Lyman Allyn Art Museum. 

Carrie's dedication to advancing the cultural landscape led her to Houston in April 2015 when she joined the Menil Collection’s Advancement Department as Manager of Membership and Visitor Services. During her tenure, she demonstrated an exceptional ability to cultivate meaningful relationships and drive impactful fundraising initiatives. 

As the Director of Development at HAA, Carrie will spearhead the organization's private fundraising program, overseeing corporate, foundation, and individual support through a range of engagement strategies. Her strategic vision, coupled with her deep understanding of the arts sector, positions her to lead HAA into a new era of growth and sustainability.
